That would never happen since Rep. Gutierrez would only be a junior Senator for the State he is representing should he be appointed,not to mention Durbin has exclusive sponsorship on Dream act within the Democrat's Party in the Senate at least.We already have not only a sponsor for Dream act in the Senate,but also one that will have a lot more power in the new Congress as the Majority Whip & he has showed in the past that he is more than willing to fight for Dream act.
Although I applaud Rep. Gutierrez for his position we have our own & should focus on Dream act alone[isn't that what this site is for] & forget CIR for the moment.I think we're also getting ahead of ourselves with getting Dream act in the first 100 days just because the Democrats won the elections.Remember,
only the Democrats won the elections.
The real question is how or what do we have to do to effectively relay our position to them when the country & governing party will be facing so many other important issues......
