I have hear of cases on tv where illegals who have completed their courses were denied a diploma.

Is this a problem? I always thought that if you are going to the college and are completing your requirements, you should be able to get the degree/diploma? Is this the case for illegals or does it vary from state to state? I just want to make sure that this won't be another problem on top of everything else.
