Wow, how did I ever skip this thread.

Frankly, I would support your "Dream Act" -minus the Aids part, it is horribly evil- even if it didn't qualified me.- See, I jumped the fence at the ripe age of 13. If I though it had a chance to pass. Believe me, I am sick and tired of losing. Getting a victory, any victory, is fine with me.

Some times we are so adamant about getting the Red vote that we forget that the Blue vote also matters. We are assuming that once the Dream Act benefits 8 people, it will have overwhelming support.

I remember the dear Juan Gomez, fits most of your criteria and the opposition called an "individual amnesty" No, if your bill shows up in the hills, it is going to be slam by those who think you are as much of a free loader as a pregnant woman who jumped the fence yesterday.

The politicians who are in the fence are in this situation because of ignorance about the bill, its beneficiaries and the political loss/gain.
