Hi, I have been going to university for 1 year now and put citizen on the application. Can i get in trouble for that? Also, when the dream act passes, won't they find out I lied about my status on admissions? What are the punishments for such an act? Thanks in advance everyone.

Just to explain why this was done, my parents felt it would be easier to put citizen since the other options might have asked for some proof like if visa had been put, they might have wanted to see it. I just want to make sure, this won't negatively affect me when DA passes.
