I think some sort of text with a list of certified lawyers for immigration should be included as well. Afterall, there are many immigrants who might have been in better positions if they knew the immigration track record of their "alleged" attorney. I guess if they closely monitored so called immigration attorneys, many immigrants will be careful to throw money at attorneys who are out to take advantage of people in desparate situations.
A couple of quick points on some of the previously mentioned issues....
1. I dont think the point system will ever be used in the US. Only socialist countries will allow something like that. This is a capitalist country i.e. survival of the fittest. I dont think that works for capitalism.(I'm not saying I'm against it)
2. Also for those worried about the fees bloating for families with children, wouldn't the DREAM portion cover most of those children? I don't think $10,000 is feasible but it can be used as mentioned earlier as a payment plan with low interest rates over a certain period; another economic boosting idea for the bill.
Thats my two cents in addition to most of what you all have already mentioned.
