not for flights within the US. You just go through the first check that everyone goes through (only to match the passport with the flight information), take of your shoes, put your bags through the x-ray scanner and go through the metal detectors, before you head over to the gate and board the plane. After that there is nothing else, you get to your destination and simply leave.
I think for international flights you have to go through a different procedure when you arrive to your destination where they ask questions such as how much money you have, the lenght of time you are staying and if you are bringing any food and stuff like that.
