Getting sponsored is not as easy as you think, especially for Prerna who has a MA degrees in Poli Sci or something (and also myself with a Masters in Education). Read the following from an employer to get an idea of the process:

Generally you work for a potential sponsor for some time, they get to know you and if they like you, they are likely to offer you sponsorship for Perm residency. Like the second post says on that page, employers like himself don't pick up any old Joes off the street to sponsor for a green card.
