I know I'm being irrational. I do agree that you shouldn't let your immigration status keep you from having a life. So I'm resolving to stop focusing on what I can't do and just freaking stop being afraid of dating.

I am in the same situation but I definitely think that if you find a guy that likes you, he is not going to care about ur legal status. I also don't drive and I hate the fact that I have to always get a ride or wait for somebody to be available to take me somewhere. I currently have a job and have no problem getting into clubs (I use my consular ID card) So,I really think there are many ways to accomplish what you want. I was very disappointed when i got out of high school because I didn't know what I was going to do without income. Especially knowing that my parents barely make enough money to cover our household expenses. But i have seen people that work, drive and do many things without a green card. So i have learned not to let my self down because of my legal status. Good luck
