In fact, this is a great pickup opportunity for Democrats. If they get someone like Joe Garcia and frame the Republican opponent as part of the anti-Latino movement, the 74% Latino electorate in that district could easily turn that seat blue.
Also, this helps “purify” the party even further (great news for teabaggers everywhere); which conversely makes it harder for the Republican leadership to pretend they're in touch with America. In other words, it will be harder for them to point at the one Latino guy in the room and say “look, we’re not just a bunch of White old men.”
They’re down to a handful of them now —mostly old Cubans.

Thank you.

Ileana Ros-Lehtinen is just another fake b*tch. Yesterday while driving her voice, sadly, came up on the radio. Just like any other Republican in South Florida, all she does is talk crap about Obama and only cares about Cuba.
About Diaz-Balart leaving his seat, like I said before, he's not just going back to be a lawyer and help Cuba. Do you know who Maria Elvira is? She's a very famous Cuban host (who tries to be objective but she just can't help it and always ends up showing that she's a Republican) is South Florida. Last night, she even said that there is some sort of plan behind this. Mario Diaz-Balart couldn't really explain why he's brother is leaving either.
If there's one thing I've learned since I moved to Miami is that
Cubans...only care about Cuba.
