lol, i worked as an accountant with h1b visa for years, if you have a valid visa you can change to h1b and with a masters degree someone will sponsor you. If you have overstayed your visa, you can forget it because you need to get a new visa from usa embassy (located in your home country) and they will not let you back in for 10 years at the border once you try to come back. Anyway, all I am saying is that you do not really need to be some super scientists (of course it helps), but certain skills are in high demand that Americans don't find attractive (engineering, science, a lot of other industries too).
