In a way I feel like it's not going to be as ugly as that since I too live in AZ since many police depts. have said they did not want to enforce this law, so I don't think they will follow through for much time. Just a couple of weeks so they can make some numbers and it will eventually die down. And I guess it will also be down to the police officer to ask you for your papers or not, like when they pull you over and they just ask you for a drivers license, insurance, give you the ticket and let you go but don't tow your car.
Like when they passed 300, and people were so scared of going to the hospital in fear they were going to get deported? and there was a few cases that were only known to the public, but among us the hispanic community we didn't hear many people getting deported from going to the ER. Remember?
I do believe the law will get stopped and taken out eventually, but new ones will arise since this wasn't the only time they've tried to pass it, but this time it actually passed. I don't see many other friends moving, so i feel like im moving out of state a little too fast, but then again, you can never be too cautious when it comes to having a deportation on your record you know?
My only fear is that other states in the US will try to pass similar laws, where are we going to go, you know?
but im actually kind of glad about moving, Arizona is a bit*h. It tormented me for so many years, always thinking if i was going to get pulled over, driving in fear, scared of the news, always wishing and crying because I wanted to go to ASU, etc.
