When I watch TV shows from Mexico I also wondered why a lot of Mexicans are ashamed of being brown. Almost every single protagonist and anchor is Caucasian or of some European descent. Being white is put on such a high pedestal that it definitely does NOT deserve.
As for the narcos, They're never gonna go away! As long as the USA has a demand for drugs and the drug business remains lucrative, there will be narcos. As a matter of fact, the president of Mexico should ALLOW drug cultivation in Chipas and Oaxaca. It would be great if Mexico legalized and sold all drugs.
