I often question whether the reason for me not participating in any of those shenanigans of teen hormonal instabilities may have been the result of me just being more receptive of my situation to know better then to do anything that could get me in trouble versus what someone that does not have to considerable cloud on their head all the time, and actually has legal status and perhaps a more "normal" upbringing in respect to americans (i.e., being able to go to parties without worrying, driving when people start driving, traveling with close friends to other cities, states, countries for vacations, and just getting fucked up and reactive from time to time).
I wonder if any of us can actually say with certainty that we understand and justify the interactions of someone else that did not have to have the same upbringing because of different status. It is one of my biggest regrets, feeling that I did not have a "normal" childhood growing up because I had to take a substantial share of responsibilities from a very early age that hindered my ability to really do as I pleased or even just hang with friends.
I mean, I hear all the time of teens committing suicide for what really seems like very trivial stuff, at least when I compare their issues to what I have been through, and I am not hearing nearly as much of our community committing suicide in nearly as great numbers as I would have perhaps theorized considering all the facts.
I am not trying to justify her sister's actions, I still think she is a bitch for doing what she did and the parents needed to be far more strict and stern with her, I do question what happened to the parents in all of this, and why she has been able to call the cops on three occasions even though she is only 16 years of age, and where is the line between disciplining a minor and domestic violence, and just a simple fight between two siblings? I mean, you did not grab like a bat and start beating her up, did you, or used some sort of weapon?
