Update: Okay so on March 25th when I went to court they basically got a whole bunch of people with the same case against them in one room, and told us our rights, and gave us lawyers.

Today I talked to my lawyer, who said he still hasn't gotten the files from the court, he said since I have a clean record, I could either plead no contest or guilty, I would receive a 2 year probation and have 2 years to complete a 12 week anger management class, and then after the 2 years, my record would be clean. I really did not want to have to plead guilty. So I guess I have no choice but to go for the no contest.
