Not that I consider about.com the be all end all source for information it's common knowledge that the undocumented cannot
legally enlist in the US military and non-citizens cannot serve as officers.
Where the comment you posted came from is beyond me, but it reads like a Nigerian scam email, which makes me question it's value as a source. I have lurked on this forum quite a while and from what I've seen a lot of folks on here prefer to read into something instead of read it.
