Look guys, enlisting in the military is a very serious decision we all have to decide when the time is right. For now there is no reason to be so worked up about this. We do not know for sure that a Dream Act confined to Military aspects will even pass.
I do agree that making the military the only option is indeed unfair. There has to be other ways other than military motives. In terms of college not being enough is flat our ridiculous. Specially us dreamers, going to college is such a unique experience for us. Not only do we all have to work our butss off to have satisfactory grades but on top of that have the burden of worrying what could happen tomorrow or any second such as people knocking in your door to serve you deportation papers. All of this can have a profound effect on our Psychological state of mind and it will take its toll.
I don't go through as much hardships as some of the Dreamers on this forum and even I think I'm loosing it from time to time, so to say that going to college isn't enough is complete ludicrous.
I have a substantial amount of respect for those Dreamers who live here and still attempt to get a degree. Though they may not risk their lives, I believe that them living their lives here is a war in itself.
However, on any note it is way too early to tell if this Military option will even get through to become law, just from this thread it already faced scrutiny how much more when the debates progress? I believe something has to happen soon that can ease all of our situations. It may not be what we want and it may not be given in a silver platter so to speak, but I do believe something will happen soon.
