I am aware this question has been asked many times before, but after looking at the past threads, I still have not received a clear answer.

Let me explain my situation. Summer is coming, and I am looking a job since I plan not to take any summer classes (I would rather make money than pay the school money).

I already have a job working 3 days a week, but I need more money. I was going through jobs on Craigslist and Backpage, and I see that there are many delivery positions for individuals who own a car. I do own a car; I have a license (from out-of-state); and all tags are up to date; and I do have insurance. The most interesting part is that they hire drivers as independent contractors, which is exciting because I have an ITIN.

The only question is how do I address the required background check and my driver's license being out-of-state? I could tell them I will get my license updated to this state very soon, or make some excuse. However, the background check still seems an issue.
