Wow this is certainly very encouraging! I'm currently typing this from an airport, my semester ended friday and my parents were OD excited that I'm going to the ausssie uni and they booked flights for me today too take the first flight to chill with family in Sydney until I move into summer housing in early june, so it looks like my American story is coming to a long due end. From here on out I'm in australia offering my views on these things.
But anyway focusing on this article, this is certainly very encouraging. Based on all the signs coming out, it appears as if the senate dems will work with Rubio, meaning this likely passes the senate. The house on the other hand is filled with the Ryanites and followers of Rep. King who seem totally opposed to this passing. I guess it'll be interesting to see how this all unfolds, but I'm inclined to say this fails in the house and it might as well in the senate if the GOP doesn't strongly back Rubio.
But really this seems like an amazing political game whose ending is certainly going to be climatic and meaning crammed. By the end of this year, my friends, you will know what the American congress truly thinks of you.
