I didnt even know it was up for a vote, i thought the STARS Act was dead. The DREAM Act and DREAM Act lite will cover the military so i think if anything is to go up for a vote it will be the DREAM Act, or the alternate that Rubio claims he was working on. Put it like this...i believe when the DREAM Act (DREAM Act lite) comes up for a vote again, it will most likely pass.
I have nothing to back this with, but when Obama announced the Deferred Action for most of us (31 and older, u have my condolences...i hope CIR passes soon believe me) it was looked as like the "right thing to do." I take that as they A, dont wanna seem anti Hispanic in an election year. And B, its getting increasingly difficult for the oppositions to the DREAM Act to argue their points against the bill. Either way i believe any bill that will help people who migrated here as minors will pass next time it's on the floor. Probably just wishful thinking on my part, but the rhetoric against the DREAM Act has quieted significantly as of late.
