The process for me was really quick. I arrived 5 minutes before the SS office closed and they took me in. The guy was really nice and asked me very few questions. Like, how long i've been here and if this was my first time applying for a card. I gave him my Passport and EAD and that was it. He told me to call in a couple weeks to see if there was an update on the SSN. Now the waiting begins. One funny thing he told me was now that i'm going to work I should avoid working at any SSO office. He said it was the worst place to work, in fact, he said it was pure hell. I should avoid it at all costs. I nervously laughed and went on my way. But besides that, the whole process was quick and easy.
