On the contrary,it is well within Romney's power to stop this.If any authority under the President can initiate the program another authority under a different incoming President can certainly halt it.The program only really affects Dreamers a and their family members hopes somewhat and perhaps some USCIS jobs.What I wonder is why the President hasn't made the economic argument concerning the program and the 1,400 jobs it created for the Federal USCIS service and if Romney gets in it would basically be a job killer.Let's face it,this election is going to be more about the economy than DACA so the President has to work everything within that particular context.
On another note,I don't think DACA was originally a USCIS idea at all and credit should be given where it is due to whomever pushed for this.I think the President is getting all the kudos and negatives for it though,but I honestly don't believe he was the source idea for DACA either.
