Thanks to someones post here from Phoenix I did the same thing and now have my SSN printout. I original went to apply for my SSN at the downtown phoenix office on friday october 12, after getting my approved on October 5th (7th day...) and during my visit I asked about the whole printout ordeal and the lady snapped at me and told that it was all false, "rumors just invented by people who think they know it all." So anyways, following someone's advice in this thread, I went to the tatum office, I waited until today October 17, because I wanted to make it give it enough time..and sure enough I got my printout. I got a number was called quickly and when she asked what I needed, I played dumb and said that I didn't get a reference number during my initial number and that I wanted to be able to track my progress. To this she responded that I didn't get a number because I had been cleared and that in fact I should I have already had a SS number assigned and asked if I wanted a printout. So I have my SSN, and I will apply for my first nursing job! I can't believe it! Thanks for all the info guys! You make such a big difference!
