They probably will just turn a blind eye and ask no further questions. Just make sure you do not go in there with a paragraph explanation. If you decide to do it, just tell them you have a new ssn and you wish to fill out the paperwork to make the changes effective. The less you say the less you place liability on them that they hired someone not authorized to work.
