I called the national costumer service # (1-800-375-5283). Went through the prompts - I chose report a problem with your application. The USCIS guy went over my info and I explained to him that I was on day 90 and wanted to file a service request, since I was still on initial review. He asked for the receipt number, name, address, contact phone #s, email, etc. He gave me a receipt number for the request (T1B319120xxxxNSC). He said I should receive an answer within the next few days, since I had reached "regulatory timeframe". He said if I did not hear back and was still on initial review, I should call back and request an interim EAD. So now I'm back to waiting...
And the 90 days is from the day they received your application (you can see the date they received your app under initial review).

A service request can be filed 75 days after a properly filed I-765.
An interim EAD is requested differently. You are not eligible for an interim EAD until DACA is approved.
