I would seek the help of another district if possible. If you can find a democratic representative near your area and explain to them that you don't think your Republican representative would be willing to help I'm sure they'd understand...

Like I said, the people I talked to were extremely generous and willing tot help. This coming from Texas where Republicans rule.
