You bring up a very valid point concerning meeting the entry requirements for Canada.The OP may or may not require a visa dependent on if Canada has a valid visa waiver available for his country of citizenship as the current Canadian government is quite notable on removing current visa free privileges for certain nationals if they believe it is being taken advantage of.There is a
list on Canada's immigration website on if you require a visa or not OP.
