Listen to this great story! On Monday I decided to call and ask about my case. I've only called one other time because my case wouldn't show up anywhere and I was worried. That time the second level officer was extremely nice, courteous and helpful. This time..... Wow! Did I get an earful! I had to wait about 45 minutes before they took my call which doesn't really bother me, I'm sure thousands of people are calling so I completely understand. Well I was immediately passed to a second level officer. She was a woman. I gave her my numbers and she looked up my case. She seemed confused from the beginning. She thought I was a lawyer when I never said I was. I explained The application was mine and I was calling for myself. She told me my application had been received and that it was being processed, the usual thing that is said to everyone. I proceeded to ask if there was any way she could check or if she knew if my application had been looked at. I told her I had to send in an application with a deadline of April 1st and I was worried I wouldn't have anything by then and would lose the opportunity. She said that the last update to my case had been on Feb 20th which was my bio appt. I told her there was no way Cus I did my bio in October! She said yes u had 2 bio appts. I told her no I only had one and it was in oct. I never received another letter or anything else asking me to show up anywhere. I said the last correspondence I received from them was when my app was transferred on Feb 15. So she said well then the bio was for another petition. I said I had no other petition pending with INS. I was so scared at that moment thinking I never received the letter where they wanted me to do another bio! So I kept asking her to please check Cus if I missed it I was never aware. Se said it wasn't a big deal and began to interrogate me asking me questions about my other petition. I kept explaining I had no other petition pending! She then sai oh so u came here illegally. No one has ever petitioned you. I said no I didn't come here illegal but no one has ever portioned me. She got very aggressive and in a louder voice not even letting me talk kept saying "no one no one ever did anything no one ever petitioned you? You came here illegally just like that! You were brought here just like that?!" And I said no let me explain I came here with a tourist visa and before that expired I had a student visa. But I don't have another pending ads with INS now except for this one. She asked when that had been I had to give her dates and my age at the time. I seriously had no clue where this whole interrogation was coming from or why she was being so aggressive when I never said anything rude, knowing that of course being anything jut extremely nice would onky work against me. She finally claimed down. And proceeded to tell me this very hurtful thing:

Well, in case you didn't know this deferred action is only a presidential order it is not a law. This does not give you anything. So considering the fact that before the president made this decision you had nothing. You shouldn't be in a rush. The people processing these cases are very overwhelmed no one expected so many of you would be applying for this. This isn't even considered a priority so you aren't allowed to complain. The officers will get through the applications when they can. But since this isn't priority you can't expect it will be taken care of quickly. There are a lot of other applications that come before these do. Officers are very overwhelmed. So like I already explained this doesn't change anything you shouldn't be in such a rush. You were illegal before. This is just presidential orders. Whatever you needs it for will just have to wait.

Wow! I didn't even know what to say! Considering how grateful I am for this and how I in no way was rude to her I was in absolute shock! I told her I understood but that I was worried about the biometrics date she told me (because she never answered my question concerning this) I asked if she could please check if i had been asked to do biometrics again. She said there was nothing there an that the second bio date didn't mean anything to just forget about it. She said if I wanted to do a service request I had to wait until after April and that I shouldn't call back until then. I said ok thanks for your time. She said bye and hung up. Wow!
