GrumpyDreamer is right about being disqualified for an H1 since technically, once you turned 18 and were accepted into college, you could have left the country and come back on an F1 or something. After staying in this country after 18, you are considered a legal adult and therefore, you made the choice to stay.

It's kind of a double edged sword with sponsorship for us. The thing is, there is no legal way (barring marriage) that we can adjust our status within the U.S. Even if we do get sponsored, we would have to leave the U.S --- but BAM - we have an auotmatic 10 year ban since we're out of status and so we're out of luck.

Anyway, I'm a junior myself that went through corporate recruiting and got an internship offer. I'm not rejecting it, though, since it's one of the best banks in the world. I can't work without an EAD and I know that even if I file for an EAD, I'll get rejected, so it's moot. All the major corporations do employment authorization checks anyway so they'll rescind automatically. But I rather pretend as if I have a future.
