my post here, just another take on things...
It's ironic how much hate and anger there is in this forum (full of negative comments that don't add to anything), considering how we should be here to support and help each other...Anyways, my brother took the same decision that you made about two or three years ago...and guess what? He has a job (part-time), is going full-time to school and will be done soon (one or two semesters I think). In a way, he
is doing better than I am, and you have no idea how happy I am for him, and that he didn't have to go through all the stuff I had to endure here (work, school, money as an illegal).
The decision of going back is a difficult one, I had contemplated it for a couple of months before the whole DACA thing. It is NOT giving up, because things will NOT be easier than here, after all, the adaptation to a developing country (which Mexico is, unfortunately) is difficult.
For all it's worth, I'm happy you're doing good (or great) in Mexico (just as my brother is). I hope that you are traveling, traveling, and traveling and enjoying the culture
