I'm disappointed that he didn't emphasize his opposition to expanding e-verify as the reason he was opposing this bill. It is a legitimate concern. E-verify should not exist. What employers and employees agree to should be between them. Not to mention this gives the feds the power to deny people the ability to work for non-migration related issues in the future. I wouldn't be surprised if future laws are passed that use e-verify to make sure people in probation or tax evaders can't be employed lawfully.

I wish he was more like his father. Ron Paul was awful in migration, but he never wanted to self deport anyone. He was against building up any more walls in the border - "any wall used to keep them out can be used to keep us in". He was against e-verify and wanted to remove penalties to employers who hired illegals.
