I submitted two letters, one from the General Consul and the second from the Vice-Consul who I worked under stating that their records indicate that I have not been employed by the consulate after 2001. I was fortunate to still keep in touch with them. It is frustrating having to wait for the EAD. The main reason is that MANY prospective employment opportunities (research, academia, journalism) have been lost, but I also just turned 32 (barely made the 31 age cut by a couple weeks) and REALLY need to start working. Hopefully it gets approved soon and I too hope that yours gets approved quickly!

self filed or lawyer ? maybe the waiting has something to do with you having a previous ssn so their trying to solve all that out ? , maybe , who knows , either way i hope its quick
