I am undecided on becoming a nursing major I have a couple more weeks to decide BUT I have been fortunate enough to intern at the best hospital in my area for a couple months.

I will answer based on what I observe and what the RNs tell me.
1) Is Nursing doable for someone with a weak stomach? My stomach isn't exactly weak, but I have not been desensitized enough to Hospitals, Clinics etc. to be used to it
It depends on the floor, for my interning experience, we had rounds. I Agree with the top comment ^^ my first day at the ER cops had to hold down a guy that was high on bathsalts. haha it was one of my favorite floors. On the other hand there are also quiet and tense rooms such as ICU.
2) Do Nurses always clean up after a patient? Is there a higher tier of Nurse that deals specifically with assisting Doctors or something? Or is clean up always something any Nurse will have to do once in awhile at least?
Nurses should know how to handle mess, but usually the Nurse Assistants are the ones that are assigned such duties. There is a Head Nurse in each floor, if thats what you mean.
3) Is this a straight 4 year type of deal or is it more a 5 to 6 year path?
Good Question, not sure but i know That there is one year when you have to do clinical rotations, not sure if its after becoming an RN or while. Sorry
4) How are the hours?
Most work 3-4 days a week 12/hr shifts
5) How is the pay?
I think the average is about 60k/year, not bad. It depends on what type of nurse you want to be. I think ICU nurses get a little more.
6) Do you find it fulfilling?
I think seeing patients getting back into good shape because of the good care you provide is very fulfilling in my point of view.
7) Are there more advantages or disadvantages to being a male Nurse?
I think their is nothing wrong with being a male nurse, they're are becoming more common, my brother and one of my closest friends are studying to become a nurse.
