I would prefer to mail in my renewal application, and not miss a work day to go to the DMV, so I was wondering if anyone was able to send in the renewal application and included copies of their new EAD?

Some people tell me not to bother renewing as the temp visitor expiration that is printed on the card means nothing and I can just keep using this Driver License until 2017.

But I would prefer to get a new one with the new temporary visitor expiration showing in September 2016 (My new EAD expiration)

Is this something that HAS to be done in person at the DMV, or can I just mail in the renewal form with copies of the EAD?

BTW, I tried renewing online, but it gives me an error message stating that my Driver License still has over 1 year still left before it expires, so technically it is saying I don't need to renew...

...BUT, when I tried to order a replacement driver license online (I was hoping they would send me my replacement driver license that would magically show my September 2016 temporary visitor expiration) it gave me an error saying my temporary visitor status has expired.
My temp visitor expired on Oct 24. I received my new work permit expiration on Sept 25. To be honest the DMV place is one block away my job but I'm too lazy to fill out application and waiting in line so I did some trial, since my hasn't expired yet I went ahead and apply for replacement online. I really hope the new EAD expiration magically appears on it cause it would save a lot of time if not then there goes my $17.50. Loll
