Good question, although the status for deferred action has not changed, I assume if they schedule the card for production means your job permit has been approved.

I was reading somewhere about plenty other cases of having the work permit shown progress before deferred action itself which contradicts USCIS's claim that first is DACA and then is the work permit.

Who knows, they really do not seem to have their game together. Starting from the contradictory statements you get when calling customer service. I mentioned before each time I called I got a different answer that even contradicted the last representative.

trying to be kind, last time I called USCIS I asked the girl (who told me my case was 2 months behind in processing) why last week I was told I was going to get the card by the end of January. She scrambled for a bit and couldn't explain me that.

I only wanted to let her know that since I was told such thing, I told my boss the same. Since there was no card, I looked like a liar.
