Do you guys know if we can use our EADs as our IDs for our biometrics appointment, if the card is still current and unexpired?

I just realized that my passport expired this March, and am worried that I won't have a form of current/unexpired ID to show when I appear for my biometrics appointment.

FWIW, I have not sent in my DACA renewal because of very serious money issues, and only have a month and a half left on my EAD. On the other hand, renewing my passport takes at least 8 weeks plus however long I would have to wait for an appointment at the consulate, and would cost me additional $350 in fees and travel expenses, so I would really like to avoid renewing it at the moment.
