We live in California. Theoretically once its approved could we just drive across the border in t.j. and come back the same day to get the i-94 to adjust status? I doubt it you would have any issues. USCIS doesn't track what you do when you actually get into the country. Say you went for a quick visit then went back again when you had more funds to stay a longer time.
