Hey everyone! I have another thread going with this same topic but I thought I'd post here to go get multiple opinions... Here's my case in a nutshell...

EWI at the age of four by my parents.
They somehow paid someone to get me a legit social security number but the card says not valid for work without INS approval.
They also paid someone to get me my driver's license, also legit... I had to do all that's required with hours, classes, road and written test, etc.
Started working with SS number at legit jobs and paid taxes each year I worked.
DACA approved in 2014.
AP approved and left the country and came back recently.
I've been with my husband who is a USC for over 8 years and married for over 2.
Now I'm about to put together the green card application packet with my lawyer.
My lawyer lives across the state from me so I would have to pay him extra to handle the travel cost of coming to my city for the interviews.. He seems to think that because of all my special cases and having been unlawfully in the country and worked technically illegally that the chances of me getting approved for a green card would be better with him present.

I'm getting my packet together with my lawyer and I'm wondering whether or not to pay to have him be there at the interview or not. I'm EWI but daca approved and have a stamp on my passport for my AP entry back into the U.S. Since I was EWI by my parents at age 4, I've obviously accrued lots of years of unlawful stay and also worked with my social security card that wasn't INS approved to work. But I've paid taxes for every year I worked and have been married to my USC husband for over 2 years. I just want to know what the interview process is like and if a lawyer's presence helps.

Does anyone else have similar circumstances where your green card got approved without a lawyer?

Any responses are much appreciated!
