This decision is much better than people realize. Courts tend to give more leeway to the side they support in large government vs government cases like this where they known about it for a while and knew it'll reach them eventually, unlike a Joe v Bob case where they first hear about it from certiorari.

Ruling against Texas means that they are mostly against them. Obviously this doesn't mean that Texas is doomed to lose, but we're up for a fair trial outside of Kangaroo courts.

Fun fact: Texas tried this with original DACA in DC court system. They all told them to piss off.
