Wait about 10 days from your approval and then apply at your nearest social security office. You should bring Your EAD card and a birth certificate, or passport, or school records from at least 5 years ago. I went on 1/21/2016 and the receipt they gave me told me my card will come in 2 weeks. So after that you can apply for jobs/ driver license/ state ID
** if you apply for a social security number too soon, they will make you wait up to 4 weeks because it takes 10 days for your EAD to be in the system.
