Did a brief medical inspection prior to signing my contract.
My civilian profession is in Information Technology full time.
I received 92A automated logistics specialist (Basically inventory and warehouse) - I can deal with that for the time being. Being in MAVNI and reserves, you will have limited options.
Signed the contract for 6 years (8 if you count the 2 year readiness stuff) The Sgt gave me the information for my unit and my basic ship date + AIT. She told me that since I joined the Army Reserve that I am technically now part of the army and can do drills with my unit even prior to basic training (I researched if it was true and yes it is.)
Next up, my recruiter will introduce me to my unit and process me there.
My plans:
After basic, use all the available resources to get my bachelor's degree (Associate's degree holder) then apply for Officers candidate school. (Goal time: 3-4 years)
Please note: you will probably be doing a different job than what you want due to security clearance, who cares for now... Be a citizen and go from there.
Til' next time... Open for questions.
