What you need is a solid letter from that organization inviting you to participate, perhaps a letter from your job or even your initial job letter and finally your own personal statement detailing your career and how this relates to it. If you're going to file under humanitarian, this has to do with medical reasons or health reasons for YOUR own family members so that's a no go. Good luck.

you sure humanitarian has to do with YOUR own family members. etc?i think there was someone who gave me the idea of volunteering to clear ewi and his volunteer purpose was to help with the environment(preserve) in jamaica. I believed he filed it as humanitarian but i could be wrong. Anyways I filed a similar way (humanitarian) with Mexico for animal safety and rescue in march its still pending although my requested dates passed a month ago.
