I have also contacted my state Senator in hopes that strings can be pulled since I have signed my contract to join the military and this would severely impact my ability to ship on time to basic training.
Just today I received an email in response to my e-request, which, in part, stated:
"Our records indicate that an appointment notice has not been sent to you because your case has not yet been assigned to an officer. All our cases are worked in the date order they are received. Once it has been assigned, an appointment will be made for you, and we will send an appointment notice.
The Nebraska Service Center (NSC) is closely monitoring the expiration dates. We are working the renewals in the order of previous card expirations. There is no authorization to allow expedited processing of the renewals. However, if your card is a few days away from expiring and your case was filed at least four months prior we will review the case to ensure it is in proper placement.
We hope this information is helpful to you and appreciate your continued patience."
I am not sure if they will follow through on their word, but this is what they told me.
54 days away from losing my job...

Are they talking about the biometric appointment?
