Lawful Permanent Residents of the United States may produce one of the following as acceptable documentation when traveling:
I-551, Permanent Resident Card ("Green Card")
Machine-readable immigrant visa with a CBP Admission Stamp
Temporary Resident Stamp (ADIT stamp) contained in a passport or on Form I-94
Valid Reentry Permit
Unexpired Immigrant Visa
In addition, Title 8 of the Code of Federal Regulations states a foreign passport that contains a temporary I-551 stamp, or temporary I-551 printed notation on a machine-readable immigrant visa may be used as proof of employment eligibility. See 8 CFR ยง 274a.2(b)(1)(v)(A)(3). This stamp is only valid for the time period indicated; afterwards, you must obtain your Form I-551 or have your stamp renewed.
If your Permanent Resident Card has expired or you need evidence of your status before the Permanent Resident Card is received, you may wish to schedule an INFOPASS appointment at
https://my.uscis.gov/appointment to obtain an Alien Documentation, Identification Telecommunications System (ADIT) Stamp as temporary evidence of your Lawful Permanent Resident Status from your local USCIS Field Office. Please take a copy of your I-90 application receipt notice and your passport to your INFOPASS appointment.

Not even my receipt date is correct. I am a local government employee and a manager told me that in the government sector, 80% of the employees do 20% of the work and 20% of the employees do 80% of the work. I have a coworker in my division who does pretty much nothing. With the delays and the response I got, I envision the officer working on my case to be like my coworker.
If I do not get renewed on time, I will lose my house, my car, my credit, and most importantly, I will not be able to support my family. Even though I still have a month to go, I am starting to panic with everyone else's experience.
My timeline:
Receipt Date: 5/13/2016
Bios Done: 5/20/2016
Expiration: 10/08/2016
