If I had seen this 3 weeks ago, I would have been pissed... But by now I've become disillusioned by USCIS' sheer incompetence and completely backwards approach.
I met with a lawyer on Friday, and regarding DACA, she said that whenever USCIS has an internal issue (technical or security-related), they tend to"freeze" applications affected until they can conclude with 100% confidence that the problem has been resolved. She also said that they will never release details to the public about it, and will simply keep the cases frozen for however long it takes. We're talking months, if necessary (which would explain some of the Feb applicants still pending).
Since most of us can see all the information we submitted to them (the necessary info to process our case), that could very well be the situation. If our cases aren't frozen, why would it take so long to adjudicate when others are being approved in a week?
