That sounds about right. Heavily populated areas by immigrants usually have longer wait times. Areas far from population centers can be done from start to finish in 4 months.

...Such an answer from him or yourself would very likely result in denial by fraud. In addition, DACA would no longer be applicable if that is how it was denied. If you both are apart, that raises another red flag.
Imo, you should not focus on the adjudication interview so early. The focus should be on:
1. Making sure your medicals are in the clear and have the appropriate vaccinations first!!!
2. Take the time to ensure you are proving co-habitation through evidence. This is more critical and crucial in the early parts of the process after marriage.
