A key GOP lawmaker tells The Hill that bipartisan discussions on a bill to fix the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program may be ready "as soon as tonight."

"We've had very good meetings here with the Problem Solvers Caucus - Will Hurd has been working on a potential compromise with some Democrats as well, so we could see something as early as tonight," Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R-Fla.) said in an interview with The Hill.

Curbelo, who favors a DACA fix, said that Democrats and Republicans on the Senate side have also worked on possible fixes, ahead of the president's March deadline, noting that "it's possible" that a fix would be added when the Senate considers a funding bill in the next few days
