The facts are that the Republican Party has been the major obstructionist here, but the facts are that the Democratic Party isn't clean either. For starters, we wouldn't be in this shit hole if Democrats had simply addressed this issue in 2008. Also, we'd probably be considering a Democratic DACA framework instead of a Trump framework if the Democrats had balls and held the line maybe a few more days. The only reason we got DACA was because of the pressure of Dreamers. Obama denied having the executive authority several times.

So, yes. The Republican Party has been the main antagonist, but the Democratic Party has fucked over our community in several ways. Look at the recent shutdown and all of the deportations that occurred under Obama.

Honestly, this isn't about party anymore. You can take both parties and shove them because they are both crap. I just want this fucking issue solved, period. We all knew from the start concessions would have to be made. Every damn item on the GOP list has a moral defect to it, so do we (1) refuse and go back to shadows hoping Trump loses the next election (will be tough after the Democrats showed they are big bitches) , (2) leave, or (3) make concessions. If you want 3, then the question becomes at what point do we move forward? Again, every little damn concession that the GOP wants has a moral defect to it. We can spend hours arguing about each item. But, at what point do we move forward? Or, do we refuse?

For some. #1 will be option because you have an alternative path to stay here and can preach idealism. Good for you; I wish you the best. But, not many of us can afford to do #1
