Let’s be real, he could have gotten rid of it from day one, he ignore the DACA situation until his advisors and Paxton put his back against the wall. Even after the Supreme Court ruled against him, he could have easily drafted a new EO to kill it.

I think deep inside he wanted to find a solution for the Dreamers, but the people around him influenced him to an extreme level. I know Ivanka and Kushner always wanted a DACA fix, but they were overpowered by the extreme advisors.

If somebody would have told us in January 2017 that we would survive a Trump administration, we all would have laughed, and that’s the true.
