Edit: Hire a good attorney. Even if you’re a savant for navigating the complex rules of the US immigration system, an attorney will be beneficial. These people have considerably more experience DOING, and have industry contacts. Not a guarantee, but they will be better able to help you navigate your personal situation and concerns than an Internet forum.

Thanks for the advice. I probably will hire an attorney just for that extra comfort and security. Do you have any idea how much an immigration attorney may cost to help with the AoS? I live in WA state and I just want to know whether to expect a couple hundred or a couple thousand.
