unlike you i manage hundreds of people in the east coast at multiple locations, thats how it works with HR departments. its not about about feelings its about protecting the company, thats the goal of HR departments.

that is why i never disclose my DACA status to any employer like a snowflake.

pro tip, never disclose your DACA status to ANY employer, in case DACA is actually killed off at least you can get some extra grace period for when the EADs are expired or ended. they can see the EAD ended but not why and they usually are willing to wait for a little bit. if you tell them you got DACA and they kill EADs you WILL get fired on the spot.
